What did I eat?
Barbecue Platter – Pulled pork, beef brisket, 1/4 chicken, smoked sausage, 2 ribs, 2 sides, and texas toast
- I enjoyed all of the meat and I would recommend getting a platter as it gives you a great sample of a bit of everything. My favourite of the day as always was the brisket, but I was also surprised by how much I liked the extremely tender chicken.
- The pulled pork is fine on its own, but the bbq sauce (not pictured here) is what takes it to the next level. They have several sauces available and I loved the tangy vinegar sauce for the pork.
- The sides chosen were green beans and fries. The fries were surprisingly good. They were cut really thin and came out hot and fresh. The crinkle cut yam fries were also really good because they were very crispy and not soggy like many other yam fries.
- The texas toast at first seems a bit strange, but the buttery, soft bread is perfect for soaking up extra barbecue sauce and scooping up fatty meat.
The bbq platter here was impressive and satisfying and very affordable and I enjoyed the cool ambiance.
