Wine – Red Rooster Gewürztraminer 2015

What wine did I drink?

The Red Rooster 2015 Gewürztraminer which is a BC VQA wine from Penticton.

My Thoughts

  • This wine had a moderate level of sweetness that I enjoyed. It was more dry than other Gewürztraminer I have had which almost taste too sweet to eat with a meal and made it stand out for me.
  • The taste was full-bodied and quite flavourful for a white. I tasted fresh, fruity, and floral notes of lychee and pear.
  • It would be a great pairing with seafood, salads, and Asian food.
  • I also loved the cute abstract rooster logo and thought the bottle was visually appealing enough to make it stand out in a liquor store aisle.

Would I Buy Again?

Yes. I enjoyed the flavour and level of sweetness of this gewürztraminer and it is one of my favourite versions that I have tried.
