Where did I eat?
Coming Home Cafe at 753 6th Street in New Westminster.
What do they specialize in?
Diner style breakfast and lunch food.
What was the vibe?
Homey, outdated, busy.
What did I order?
The Heart Attack
- This was a special of the day that was a hash made with everything you can think of – bacon, peppers, onions, mushrooms, potatoes, cheese and topped with scrambled eggs and hollandaise sauce
- I typically enjoy breakfast hashes and this was no different. There was a good mix of everything and the hollandaise sauce took it to another level.
The food here is good, no-frills diner food and the home-decor theme is cute and kitschy. My one major issue was how greasy this place smelled. Normally I love the smell of bacon, but it was so strong it even seeped into my purse which smelled for hours after and was quite gross and makes me question whether I would come back.
