Curry House Coco Ichibanya

Where did I eat?

Curry House Coco Ichibanya at 4850 Kapolei Pkwy in Kapolei, Hawaii.

What do they specialize in?

Japanese style curry.

What was the vibe?

It had a simple, diner type atmosphere.

What did I order?

Curry

Chicken Katsu Cheese Curry

  • The chicken katsu was tender and very crispy. The portion of chicken was also quite large for the price.
  • The cheese combined with the curry seems a bit strange at first, but I ended up loving it. The cheese melts and gets gooey and soft in the curry and adds a richness to the sauce.
  • The curry sauce itself was flavourful and had an ideal consistency that was neither too thick nor too watery.
  • Under all of the curry was a massive amount of rice that is guaranteed to fill you up.

Final Thoughts?

I really liked Curry House Coco Ichibayna and would frequent this place if I lived in Hawaii. The portions are big, the food is affordable, and the curry is flavourful and delicious.
