Chatime

Where did I eat?

Chatime at 1274 Robson Street in Vancouver.

What do they specialize in?

Bubble tea.

What was the vibe?

Bright, contemporary, busy.

What did I order?

Chatime

  •  Since it was an opening event I was able to try several different types of drinks. The menu here is extensive and has more options than your average bubble tea place and they allow for customization of sweetness levels.
  • My favourite drink that really stood out to me were the brown rice green milk tea. If you enjoy tea at Japanese restaurants you will love this drink because of their distinct earthy, roasted flavour. I have never come across these at other bubble tea places so I was excited to try something new.
  • I also enjoyed the taro pudding tea. It had big pieces of custardy vanilla pudding and the taro tea wasn’t powdery like many other places.
  • All of the other drinks I tried were good, although nothing too out of the ordinary.

Final Thoughts?

Chatime is a good place to stop on Robson for a quick bubble tea. While many of the drinks are typical, the brown rice green milk tea drinks are something special and worth trying.

Disclosure: I did not pay for my meal.
