Apizza Scholls

Where did I eat?

Apizza Scholls at 4741 SE Hawthorne Blvd in Portland.

What do they specialize in?

Thin crust pizza.

What was the vibe?

Casual, busy, simplistic.

What did I order?

Margherita and Ham and Pineapple Pizza

Margherita and Ham and Pineapple Pizza ($26)

  • The pizza they make here is New York style pizza, so the crust is very thin and slightly charred, but more bready and less chewy than a Neapolitan style pizza.
  • I enjoyed both toppings. The Margherita was a simple classic flavour and the ham and pineapple was slightly sweet with just the right amount on top to not make it heavy or soggy.
  • Even though the pizza was massive it wasn’t overly filling because of the thin crust.

Final Thoughts?

Apizza Scholls makes a great pizza that doesn’t leave you feeling gross after. Just be prepared to wait for a table if you go during peak hours.
