Tim Hortons Turkey Sausage Breakfast Sandwich

Tim Hortons has recently added a new turkey sausage breakfast sandwich to their menu and I was sent a gift card to try this sandwich. I used to eat Tim Horton’s sausage breakfast sandwiches all the time in my SFU days because they were cheap and there wasn’t really any other options, but I haven’t had one over the past year. I was interested to try the new version and see how the turkey sausage compared to the regular one.

Turkey Sausage Breakfast Sandwich

The turkey sausage definitely had a lighter feeling to it than the regular sausage. They advertise that it is 330 calories per sandwich. I’m not really a calorie counter myself, but if you are into that, this sandwich has 100 fewer calories and 50% less fat than the regular sausage breakfast sandwich. Despite being more healthy, I actually enjoyed the turkey sausage. It texture was a bit more dry than the regular version, but it didn’t leave me feeling greasy and sick after.

I’m not sure if Tim Horton’s has changed the way they make their egg patties, but I found this one to be especially good. I think a lot of locations over cook them or they aren’t very fresh, but the egg that I had here had more moisture.

I thought the turkey breakfast sandwich was good and worth a try if you enjoy Tim Horton’s breakfast sandwiches. If you don’t like Tim Hortons breakfast sandwiches it probably won’t convert you, but it is a lighter and still satisfying option.

Disclosure: I did not pay for my meal.
