The A la Minute Smoked Skuna Bay Salmon is one of Mosaic’s signature dishes and it was served with a kale nori salad and a wasabi cauliflower puree. Sometimes I am picky about too much wasabi, but the puree was actually quite mild and I liked it. The smoked salmon is very moist and has a similar texture to salmon sashimi. Unfortunately, there was a very tough piece of meat that I couldn’t even cut through on the bottom of the fish, but the rest of it tasted fine.

For my main, I had the seared baja ocean wise scallops with a sweet potato sauce, figs, and prosciutto. This is like the fancy and much tastier version of bacon wrapped scallops.

Mosaic consistently makes incredible scallop dishes. These scallops were cooked to perfection and they had a buttery smooth texture. The scallops are massive and meaty and big enough to feel like an entrée size portion.

I’m one of those pumpkin fanatics, so I had to try the pumpkin and nutmeg creme brulee. Normally I find creme brulee pretty boring. To me it is just glorified pudding, but this was delicious. This dish tasted like a light and creamy pumpkin pie filling. If you like festive fall flavours, you will love this dish

Mosaic makes innovative and creative food and this dining pass is a great way to experience it . The scallops alone are $20 on the regular menu and the dining pass is only $27 for a 3 course meal. The Mosaic Harvest dining pass is available to buy now on Vaneats.ca.

Disclosure: I did not pay for my meal.
