Mr. Sub

Mr. Sub is a chain of restaurants that I always forget about. I don’t visit sandwich chains too often, but if I do I normally go to Subway since they have more locations. I was in need of dinner at SFU and nothing besides Mr. Sub was open, so I decided to give it a try.

I went with a turkey sandwich ($5.80) on whole wheat bread. They pretty much have the same veggies and sauces that are available at any sandwich place. The biggest difference I noticed from a Subway sandwich was the bread. This bread was more dense and chewy. I also felt like they put less fillings in this sandwich compared to Subway.

This sub was okay, and it was nice to have something a bit different from the Subway on campus, but I don’t think I will become a regular here. The prices are slightly higher and the portions are slightly smaller than Subway and I didn’t find that it tasted much different. It is a decent option if you need a basic meal, but I wouldn’t go out of your way to visit Mr. Sub.

Recommendation:

No, Subway is better for quick sandwiches.
