Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante

Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante is a Mexican restaurant located in Disneyland. They serve tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and salads. This is a counter service restaurant where you pick up your food and then find a seat. The restaurant has a large, quiet, and shaded courtyard and it’s a good place to relax and get away from the heat and crowds.

I ordered the grilled fish tacos ($11.49) that come on a platter with refried beans and rice.

The tacos looked quite nice, but unfortunately they were very dry. The fish was overcooked and hard. The tacos were also filled with a cabbage slaw and topped with a chipotle ranch sauce. The sauce tasted alright, but I wish there was more of it to help make it more moist.

The refried beans and rice were decent and the only part of the meal that I enjoyed. The beans were topped with shredded cheese that got melty and gooey from the warm beans. The rice was fluffy and lightly seasoned.

Although the atmosphere at Rancho del Zocalo was charming and cute, the food didn’t do it for me. My family didn’t mind their meals, but they ordered other items. If you do end up going here, don’t get the fish tacos.

No, the food is unimpressive.

Sorry, I think you’re off base here. I totally enjoy the food at this restaurant, while the decor is great!

The decor of the restaurant is cute and the rest of my family liked their meals, but the fish tacos were dry and flavourless and ruined the experience for me.
