Bubble World

Bubble World is a chain of bubble tea shops that has several locations around Metro Vancouver. In need of a drink before class, I stopped by here to pick up a bubble tea. The location at SFU is in the Maggie Benson Centre and it had tons of drinks and a few snack items (but not the full food menu like the other locations).

I ordered the passionfruit green tea with coconut jelly ($3.75). This drink was refreshing, sweet, and fruity. The green tea flavour was subtle but it went well with the passionfruit. The coconut jelly filled the bottom of the cup and was cut up into tiny shreds.

My one issue with this drink was that I had a very hard time getting the coconut jelly up the straw. I had finished my drink and the majority of the jelly was still at the bottom unable to go up the straw.

I enjoyed the tea, but next time I would get pearls instead since the jelly was too difficult to eat. The drink prices here are reasonable and they have tons of flavours. I alway forget about this place, but I’m going to start to come here more often to get my tea fix.

Recommendation:

Yes, for bubble tea at SFU.
