Lee’s Donuts

A trip to Granville Island isn’t complete for me unless I visit Lee’s Donuts. Lee’s Donuts is located inside the Granville Island Public Market off in a corner. This little gem is worth searching for because they have tons of different kinds of freshly made donuts and donut holes.

I’m a bit stuck in a rut and I always end up getting the Mango Madness filled donut ($1.80). The donut is fresh tasting, light and so airy that it almost melts in your mouth. The mango custard filling inside is refreshingly cool, creamy, and not overly sweet. I love the burst of flavour and smooth texture it adds to the donut when you finally get to the middle. They coat this donut in sugar crystals, which makes it sweet and messy.

Lee’s makes some of my favourite donuts around and these are nothing like the “donuts” they serve at Tim Hortons. This is my favourite stall at the Granville Island Public Market and it never disappoints.

Recommendation:

Yes, for delicious donuts.
