Iori

Whenever I need to buy dinner in Maple Ridge, I always go with sushi. My goal is to try all of the sushi restaurants in Maple Ridge because there is a surprisingly large amount of them in town. On this occasion I went to Iori which is located right beside Save On Foods.

I was feeling unadventurous so I ordered two of my favourite standard rolls, an Alaska roll and a spicy tuna roll. The Alaska roll was covered in smoked salmon and filled with a California roll filling. This roll tasted good but my one complaint is that it is awkwardly large. It’s slightly too large to eat in one bite and I made an embarrassing mess with this roll. I probably wouldn’t order it again. I loved the spicy tuna roll because the tuna tasted fresh and it had a bit of spice to it. This roll was a much more manageable size to eat.

Overall both of the rolls tasted fresh and satisfied my sushi craving. I would like to return here for lunch to try some more items so I can get a better feel for the place.

Tip:

The restaurant is very small inside so if you have a large party take out would be better.

Recommendation:

Yes, for a quick sushi meal.
