At the Aulani resort they have a counter service restaurant called One Paddle Two Paddle close to the pool that serves up meals to go. We came here for a quick dinner because we didn’t feel like leaving the resort. The prices are a little on the expensive side for to go meals.
I ordered the Hawaiian sustainable catch of the day fish tacos for $14. The fish tasted fresh and was grilled perfectly. The taco itself got a little bit soggy by the time I walked to a table to eat it. The salsa and cabbage in the tacos were crunchy and added a good flavour. These tacos were tasty but they still don’t quite compare to Tacofino in Vancouver. I got taro chips on the side with my tacos. I’ve never had these before but they tasted just like a tortilla chip.
I also tried the crispy chicken lettuce wraps. The lettuce wraps come with a bunch of shredded veggies and a soy sesame sauce. The lettuce wraps were refreshing and good. The chicken was nice and crispy and the lettuce was good quality lettuce. The lettuce wraps are also available in a vegetarian tofu option.
Yes, if you order the fish tacos or chicken lettuce wraps.
