Miura Waffle Milk Bar

On Davie and Howe there is a cute restaurant called Miura Waffle Milk Bar. They make a variety of waffle sandwiches and flavored milks which is a really cool concept that I’ve never seen before. When you walk into the store it is clean and brightly colored. There are a variety of different sandwiches made with waffles as the bread on the menu. They have classic breakfast style ones with bacon and eggs, sweet ones with caramel bananas, and they have savory ones with Asian inspired fillings.

I ordered the bulgogi waffle sando ($7.50) which comes with beef bulgogi, egg, kimchi, and a special bulgogi sauce. I know this combination of things sounds weird on a waffle but it was so delicious! The waffle was super fresh, warm and crunchy. All of the stuff inside combined into a warm melty mess and tasted great. The flavors worked really well together. Why don’t people make waffle sandwiches more often? I would order this sandwich again but there are also a lot of other options that sound great.

I also ordered a mango milk ($3) for my drink. They make a variety of special flavored milks and yogurt milk drinks. I loved the mango milk! I have a bit of an obsession with mangos so it satisfied me. It had a mild sweet creamy flavor and was really unique and yummy, I would recommend it.

Overall Miura Waffle Milk Bar is really cute and they have lots of unique but delicious things on the menu. It’s a great place for lunch especially when you have those afternoon breakfast food cravings.

Yes, for anyone who likes breakfast food with a twist.
