Nu Greek Street

Right on the corner of Granville and West Georgia by the Bay there’s a little food cart called Nu Greek Street. Nu Greek street is a cart that is owned by Nu restaurant. The menu is pretty straight forward compared to some of the other carts, the main items on it are the lamb or chicken souvlaki pita wraps (they also have a veggie one for vegetarians).

I’ve tried both the lamb and the chicken wraps ($6) on separate occasions and they were both delicious. The meat is really tender and full of flavor from the Greek spices. I preferred the chicken slightly more but that’s just because I tend to like chicken more than lamb. They wrap itself is quite simple. They just tomato, onion, and tzatziki along with the meat inside of a grilled pita. The tzatziki is super creamy and garlicly and very delicious. It adds a nice moistness to the wrap. The pita was served warm and it tasted really fresh. It was a bit crispy on the outside but really soft in the middle. It was probably the best pita I’ve ever tasted.

I like how the wrap really showcases the meat and the simple ingredients. It was full of so much flavor and they grill the meat fresh when you order it so its always served nice and warm. For a price of $6 its pretty cheap but it’s also not that big or filling.

Recommendation:

Yes if you like simple but good Greek flavors
