Edible Canada

My co-workers and I were going to Granville Island for lunch and we decided to try a new bistro called Edible Canada. Its located right in the heart of Granville Island and it has a cute little patio surrounded by a fresh herb garden. The focus of the bistro is to use fresh local ingredients so their menu changes seasonally.

I ordered the roasted pork sandwich ($9). The sandwich had slices of roasted pork loin topped with grilled peaches, baby arugula, and a grainy dijon mustard. The bread was freshly baked and tasted really good, it was the perfect sandwich bun. The pork was very moist and there was plenty of it on the sandwich. The combination of grilled peaches and dijon mustard added a nice sweet but also tart flavor to the sandwich. Overall I really enjoyed the sandwich. It also came with a little side of coleslaw which was really good but too small.

Its a pretty good deal to be able to get a nice sandwich at a table service restaurant for $9. However, I wish that the side was larger because even though everything tasted really yummy I thought the portion size was small. All of my co-workers enjoyed their meals too and the food was way better than anything you can find at the Granville Island market.

Recommendation:
