Hirosaka Sushi is a small sushi restaurant in Maple Ridge right beside the Maple Ridge Public Library. There are a few tables inside the restaurant, but it is mostly a take out place for the offices in the area. The restaurant mostly focuses on sushi, but they have a small selection of non sushi dishes and bento boxes. The owners are nice and they threw in a free miso soup with my order.
I came here for a take out dinner one evening and I was happy to see that they had bento boxes on the dinner menu. I got the chicken teriyaki and sashimi box ($12). The box came with 5 pieces of salmon and tuna sashimi. Both were fresh tasting and had a meaty firm texture. My sashimi craving was satisfied.
The teriyaki box came with chicken teriyaki, rice, gyoza, and a salad. All of the items were standard, but good. The chicken was juicy and it wasn’t flabby like some teriyaki is. This bento box was an appropriate portion size for dinner and I was left completely full. It was also a decent deal since it came with lots of sashimi.
Hirosaka is a good place to grab quick take out sushi in Maple Ridge. The food is fresh and they can prepare it for you fast. Their prices are reasonable and they have plenty of sushi combos.
