Apres-Midi Teahouse is an adorable teahouse tucked into a brick alley way in Gastown. They have a variety of hot and iced tea flavours and a few different specialty lattes. The inside has a cool atmosphere with cozy chairs, high ceilings, and brick walls.
I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while becauce I’m an avid tea drinker and I finally got an opportunity to make it here on my lunch break. For my tea I went with the small matcha latte made with almond milk. They didn’t charge me extra to get almond milk, which made me happy.
The almond milk gave the drink a faint nutty flavour that went well with the earthy matcha tea. The matcha flavour was mild and not too overwhelming. I chose to get the latte sweetened and they put the perfect amount of sweetener in it. Overall it was a great matcha latte.
Apres-Midi Teahouse is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a quiet cup of tea or with some friends. They have a large selection for tea lovers and you can purchase containers of their tea for at home. In addition to tea, they have a few baked goods to snack on.
