Lucia Gelato is a small gelato cart that has locations at the lodges on the top of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. They have several different flavours and a dairy free sorbet option.
After hiking in the hot weather I needed to reward myself with a large gelato ($6.50). You can get up to three flavours, but Knowlton and I just split it and we got lime margarita and chocolate hazelnut. The chocolate hazelnut was creamy, rich, and tasted just like a ferrero rocher chocolate. My lime margarita was tart and fresh and really hit the spot on such a warm day.
I was impressed by Lucia Gelato. I didn’t have high expectations since it was at the top of the mountain, but the gelato had a velvety smooth texture and great flavour. This is the perfect snack to sit on the patio with on a warm day and enjoy the view.
Tip:
You can also buy containers of Lucia Gelato at grocery stores around Whistler.
Recommendation:
Yes, for a tasty mountain top treat.
