Starbucks recently launched refreshers, which are a new drink made with fruit juices and green coffee extract, so they have caffeine, but they don’t taste like coffee. Since Starbucks was giving out free tall refreshers, I went and sampled both of the new flavours. The regular price of a tall is $3.25, a grande is $3.75, and a venti is $4.25.
The very berry hibiscus is made with blackberry juice with a hint of hibiscus flavour. They also put whole blackberries in the drink. The drink had a subtle floral flavour and was moderately sweet. The flavours of this drink reminded me of the passionfruit iced tea from Starbucks.
The cool lime flavour is made with lime, citrus, cucumber, and mint juices with a slice of fresh lime in it. This drink was very refreshing and it had a mellow, tart, citrus flavour. This drink wasn’t as sweet as the other one, which could be good or bad depending on what you are looking for.
I would recommend the cool lime if you want a refreshing, thirst quenching drink and the very berry hibiscus if you want something summery and sweet. These drinks don’t have strong overwhelming flavours, but I enjoyed both of them. These are the perfect drinks for a hot summer day when coffee seems too harsh and I like the addition of a caffeine pick me up.
Tip:
There is 45mg of caffeine in a tall, 60mg in a grande, and 85 mg in a venti.
Recommendation:
Yes, for a refreshing alternative to coffee and iced tea.

overpriced!! just give me an ice water thx.
Didn’t like the lime flavor. Reminded me of the Ricola “natural” cough drops, had a very earthy, “swamp water” taste. Would not order again.
Love the Very Berry Hibiscus refresher. I get it about 3 times a week.
