Food Queen Media is publishing its first ebook next month. Titled The Food Queen’s Guide to Affordable Lunches: Where to Eat Cheap But Delicious Food for Lunch in Vancouver, FQ founder Amy and Editor-in-Chief Knowlton will feature 30 of their favourite places in Vancouver to get a great lunch for under $10.
The Food Queen’s Guide to Affordable Lunches will be available May 1, 2012. It will be for sale on Amazon in ebook format, which means you can read it on any device—desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone, and e-reader. Priced at only $2.99, this guide is cheap yet delectable—just like the meals it recommends.
“I was inspired to create this ebook because I hate seeing people go eat the same fast food junk every day at lunchtime just because it’s cheap,” says Amy Smith, the founder of Food Queen. “I want to show people that there are great local places that specialize in all kinds of food where you can eat good food for an affordable price. I am focused on choosing local restaurants that provide good service, great value, and above all delicious food. I want to inspire people to try new food, support local businesses, and enjoy their lunchtime.”
“Lunch on a budget doesn’t have to mean McDonald’s or last night’s leftovers in a brown bag,” says Knowlton Thomas, Food Queen’s Editor-in-Chief. “The guide will allow you to rethink your lunchtime adventures with thirty featured restaurants in Vancouver that offer delicious meals for under ten dollars.”

Awesome idea Amy.
My life’s quest is to always eat cheap (under $10) if possible and there are many options in Vancouver where you can do that.
Would love to compare your list with some of my favourite places.
Thank you!
