I was in Bellingham with my family and we were looking for somewhere to eat. We decided upon Boomer’s Drive In which is an old school looking drive in diner. They have a bunch of car stalls so you can opt to either eat in your car or go inside the restaurant to eat. Their menu consists of classic burgers, fries and shakes.
I got the #2 burger combo with cheese ($8) and it came with waffles fries and a pop. The waffle fries were a nice change from regular fries since they aren’t something you come by every day. They were really crispy and covered in a seasoning salt. The bag of them wasn’t overly big but it was enough.
The Boomer burger with cheese is what I would consider a “classic style” burger. Simple and basic but good. The beef patty was juicy and was a good amount of meat for me. The burger was loaded up with creamy mayo and lots of shredded lettuce and tomato. The bun was soft and tasted fresh. Overall it was a satisfying burger.
Boomer’s isn’t anything fancy and don’t come here expecting gourmet burgers, but it’s affordable and tasty. The food is much higher quality than any fast food joint around and the drive in theme was fun. Some of my family members got the milkshakes which come in a bunch of different flavours and they all enjoyed them.
Yes, for a cheap good burger in Bellingham.
