Two Richmond Night Market Locations Opening in May

The Richmond night market is a summer tradition for many people, and this year there will be two different night market locations. The original night market was created by Raymond Cheung and he operated it from 2000 to 2007. He didn’t renew the lease for the property the following year, so Paul Cheung opened a market at the same location. Raymond Cheung plans to resurrect the original Richmond Night Market this year at a new location.

The Richmond Night Market will be located at 8351 River Road, Richmond and is set to open on May 18.

The Summer Night Market will be located at the original location at 12631 Vulcan Way, Richmond and is set to open on May 11.

I’m excited to check out and compare all of the food offerings at both of these locations. Will you be going to both markets this year?

But of course. Where else can you enjoy all the smells, tastes, and temptations of an asian market without actually having to travel there? It’s one of my favourite summer experiences living in Vancouver, the place of sunshine and rainbows.

I thought the Richmond Night Market would be located out in the Queensborough area and was surprised to find that both will be in Richmond. Can’t wait to check them both out. Hopefully, there will be good deals to be had due to the competition.
