Fritz European Fry House is a tiny little fry and poutine shop located on Davie and Granville. They cater to the late night after bar crowd and they are open until at least 3am on a daily basis. The inside of the store is tiny and there aren’t really any tables. They have an overwhelming amount of special dips for their fries but I always end up going here for poutine.
Burger Knight and I were in the area and in need of a late night snack and what is a better late night snack than poutine? We got a large poutine ($8) and shared it. The large was pretty big but next time I would probably get the jumbo for sharing. The fries were hot and fried fresh in the store while we waited and they were still crispy by the time we were able to sit down and eat it. The cheese curds were large and melted a bit. I loved the gravy they used because it was the perfect thickness and it was rich and flavourful without making you feel sick. We both enjoyed the poutine and it satisfied our craving for some late night greasy food.
